Proxy Voting

Each Artisan Fund is the owner of the securities held in its portfolio. The companies that issue those securities conduct meetings of their shareholders and request that shareholders vote on certain matters. The Funds, as shareholders, may register their votes by mailing in their "proxy" ballots. Artisan Funds has delegated responsibility for proxy voting to Artisan Partners Limited Partnership, the Funds' investment adviser. A Fund's economic interest as a shareholder is Artisan Partners' primary consideration in determining how a Fund's shares should be voted. For more information on Artisan Partners' proxy voting policy, please view the policy on the Proxy Voting Policy.

Information on each Fund's votes during the twelve-month period ending June 30 will be made available during the following August. You may view how Artisan Partners cast each Fund's vote with respect to a particular company by clicking here.
