Summary Prospectus FAQ
What is a summary prospectus?
A recent Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rule allows mutual funds to provide concise
summary prospectuses to investors in place of traditional full length statutory prospectuses, provided the
funds meet certain requirements, including posting specific fund disclosure documents online.
Is the information in the summary prospectus different from the information in the statutory
prospectus?
No. The information in the summary prospectus is the same as the information included in the full length
statutory prospectus but it is presented in a summary form and contains only the key information an
investor may need.
Why is Artisan using summary prospectuses?
We believe that the summary prospectuses provide investors helpful information in a very user-friendly
and concise manner, while, at the same time, providing investors access to more extensive and detailed
fund documents. Investors who want more detailed fund information are able to easily obtain it online or
through a customer service representative at 800.344.1770.
I received several separately mailed summary prospectuses. Can multiple summary
prospectuses be combined into one envelope addressed to me to save on postage and paper?
